Interroll MCP PLAY Named ‘Automation Product of the Year’ at 2026 Robotics & Automation Awards

BIRMINGHAM, UK – Interroll is proud to announce that its innovative conveyor automation platform, MCP PLAY, has been awarded the prestigious Automation Product of the Year at the Robotics & Automation Awards 2026.

The ceremony was held live on March 18 at the NEC Birmingham, integrated directly into the show floor of the IntraLogisteX exhibition. This new format for the awards highlights technology providers actively engaged in real-world warehouse transformation.

Driving Performance through Simplicity Launched in 2025 as an extension of Interroll's renowned Modular Conveyor Platform (MCP), MCP PLAY was designed specifically to simplify the configuration, installation, and commissioning of conveyor systems.

John Thornton, editor-in-chief of Logistics Manager, emphasized the practical value of this year's winners: "The strongest entries were not just innovative. They were clearly applied, commercially credible and backed by real operational outcomes".

Key Benefits of the Award-Winning MCP PLAY:

  • Reduced Complexity: Speaks directly to the industry priority of streamlining automated infrastructure while improving total performance.
  • Increased Throughput: The 'flowing merge' function can boost facility throughput by up to 40%.
  • Operational Efficiency: Significant reductions in energy consumption, noise levels, and mechanical wear.

This recognition at the Robotics & Automation Awards 2026 reinforces Interroll's commitment to providing the "building blocks" of a sustainable and efficient global supply chain.
