Stuttgart, March 25, 2026 – Interroll is presenting a new chapter of its innovation strategy at LogiMAT 2026: advancing towards a more integrated ecosystem for material handling to make customers' processes easier, faster and more reliable.
Automation projects are now more complex than ever – and companies are under great pressure to do more with less. The flow of materials must not become a bottleneck. This is exactly where Interroll comes in: with modular, intelligently networked solutions that reduce complexity and facilitate integration.
Integrate easily. Deploy quickly. Run reliably.
Interroll's ecosystem combines conveying, drives, control and sorting solutions on a common platform. Instead of time-consuming individual integration, users benefit from standardized interfaces to adjacent technologies, tested compatibility and significantly simpler and shorter commissioning.
The IFOY Award-winning Modular Conveyor Platform (MCP) with PLAY functionality presented by Interroll at LogiMAT 2025 shows how this vision is already proving itself in everyday practice. With the intelligent, decentralized control and commissioning solution, conveyor systems are planned and commissioned using layout and flow configuration instead of classic PLC programming with zone-based conveying. With this technology and paradigm shift, plants can be implemented more easily and quickly, throughput can be significantly increased and energy consumption and IT complexity can be reduced at the same time. This is impressively proven by the first customer projects.
"With Interroll's modular conveyor belt platform and the new PLAY functionality, we were able to significantly reduce planning and commissioning times and thus achieve significant cost savings in our projects," explains Ing. Florian Pösinger, Key Account Sales Manager, Fb Industry Automation GmbH. "After receiving comprehensive support in the first project, we successfully implemented the second project independently – a clear proof of the company's commitment to the intuitive and efficient operation of this solution. We look forward to using them more in future projects."
Interroll's partner Fb Industry Automation GmbH, based in Austria, implements complete intralogistics solutions for manufacturing companies, online shops and wholesalers. The company accompanies its customers from the initial potential analysis to fully integrated implementation – and focuses specifically on scalable system solutions. Interroll's modular platform optimally supports this flexibility.
Currently, other companies are recognizing the added value of the new platform functions. A leading e-commerce mail-order company and operator of a large online platform is currently planning a test facility with MCP PLAY in one of its logistics centers. Due to the enormous wide range of articles, a wide variety of packaging types and rapidly changing customer requirements, he attaches particular importance to a highly flexible, easily adaptable automation solution that ensures efficiency gains despite growing cost pressure.
Conveying and sorting go hand in hand
As the next highlight, Interroll will be presenting the expansion of its Sorting Solutions Platform at LogiMAT: the Interroll Sortteq Modular ChainBelt Sorter (MC-S). The Sortteq technology uses bidirectionally rotating chain belts as a transport and sorting unit and is extremely low maintenance. To transport items from the sorter to their destinations, the belts move perpendicular to its direction, actively and precisely pushing items onto the designated chute or into a final container. The sorter is suitable for a wide range of goods, from small packages starting at 40 × 40 mm to polybags, cartons, tyres, and other bulky items up to 1.5 m in size and weighing up to 35 kg.With speeds of up to 1.35 m/s, a sorting capacity of up to 8,000 pieces/hour can be achieved. The sorter consumes up to 50 percent less energy than other solutions on the market, making it ideal for small to medium volumes in e-commerce, CEP, warehousing and shipping.
In combination with MCP PLAY and MC-S, Interroll combines high-throughput individual item transport with highly efficient sorting. Both technologies share the same core strengths: they are easy to layout, space-saving to install, intelligently networked and can be flexibly expanded at any time. In addition, customers worldwide benefit from short delivery times. Both systems work perfectly together, as they are united by the move away from rigid zones with stop and accumulation functions. Instead, thanks to intelligent control, both technologies support a flexible, continuous, and thus more fluid mode of transport that adapts to the actual dynamics and makes optimal use of the space on the conveyor belt. Together, MCP PLAY and MC-S represent a new generation of conveyor belt and sorting technologies: connected, scalable and future-proof – with further additions to this integrated ecosystem already in development.
