Interroll and KUNSTSTOFF.swiss bring Swiss plastics industry together for Additive Manufacturing Day in Ticino

Sant’Antonino, Switzerland – 27 April 2026 – Interroll and KUNSTSTOFF.swiss, the association of the Swiss plastics industry, hosted today the Additive Manufacturing Day at Interroll’s production site in Sant’Antonino, bringing together members and invited guests from across the Swiss plastics industry for an in-depth look at industrial polymer additive manufacturing and its role in modern production.

The event offered exclusive access to Interroll’s additive manufacturing area, from printing to post-processing, with a focus on polymer-based DLP (Digital Light Processing) technology. Participants also viewed real applications and printed samples, discussed selection criteria and use cases, and compared additive manufacturing approaches alongside Interroll’s injection molding production. By combining Interroll’s industrial expertise with KUNSTSTOFF.swiss’ network and knowledge exchange platform, the visit was designed to foster dialogue between technology providers, users and decision-makers—supporting innovation, competitiveness and practical implementation in the Swiss plastics value chain.

Highlights of the day included:

  • Guided tour of Interroll’s additive manufacturing processes, including post-processing

  • Demonstrations of polymer DLP production capabilities and sample parts

  • Discussion on industrial use cases, quality requirements and technology comparison

  • Visit to injection molding production and exchange on end-to-end manufacturing considerations

  • Networking among specialists and leaders from the Swiss plastics industry

Interroll emphasized the practical, industry-focused value of the exchange:

”Additive manufacturing is becoming an increasingly important industrial tool—especially when it enables short lead times, rapid iteration and robust polymer parts for real-world applications. Opening our Sant’Antonino site together with KUNSTSTOFF.swiss allowed us to share practical insights into DLP-based production, from printing to post-processing, and to exchange directly with experts from across the Swiss plastics industry,” said Elisabetta Brunetti, Managing Director, Interroll SA.

“For our members, the key value of events like this lies in the combination of technology depth and practical relevance. The visit to Interroll provided first-hand insights into polymer additive manufacturing and created a strong forum for discussion—helping companies better assess opportunities, requirements and next steps for implementation. We thank Interroll for the openness and look forward to continuing this collaboration.” said Riccardo Casanova, Managing Director, KUNSTSTOFF.swiss.

Interroll and KUNSTSTOFF.swiss would like to thank all participants for the strong engagement and valuable discussions. The partners will continue to promote opportunities for knowledge transfer and collaboration around advanced manufacturing technologies.
