Interroll products made from industrial technopolymers are distinguished by their diversity, strength and durability - high quality designs that ideally comply with a wide range of end product specifications. The Center of Excellence not only delivers to Interroll Group's other locations and factories, but also continuously works with the group's central research and development team to further enhance products made using technopolymers. The Sant'Antonino plant has about sixty employees who make about 500 different types of components, of which they ship 110 million annually. "We see ourselves as one of Interroll Group's key partners and focus very closely on efficient and high quality products and processes," says Ingo Specht, managing director at the Center of Excellence.
At the heart of the factory are 250 molds. Short machine retooling times maximize flexibility and at the same enable optimum plant loading. Just like all other Interroll locations, the Tecino factory's processes are based on the Japanese Kaizen-principle-type Interroll Production System (IPS), which ensures continuous process improvement and high quality standards.
The Tecino factory was a green field plant when it was built in 1986 between Bellinzona and Locarno. Together with the corporation's headquarters, which has been located nearby since 1989, the Tecino factory is a Swiss representative of the international Interroll group's business activities.
